For both musicians and organisers, our main motivation is a passion for playing music. Our intent is to present various different music styles to as broad an audience as possible. This includes not just confirmed jazz enthusiasts but also those who have up to now just “flirted” with jazz. Blues has thus also been a part of our programme, just as Dixieland, bebop and modern jazz have been – and will continue to be.

In addition, we present our audience with valuable and interesting information about artists, composers, arrangers and the music business in general.

In cooperation with the LiWu cinema and the Institute for New Media, we present film clips about music and musicians. The “record corner”, which contains an assortment of both old and new recordings, is also an integral part of BOGART’S JAZZ CLUB. We also cooperate closely with the local television station “Welle-i”, which announces all events in advance and reviews them afterwards.

Musicians and audience have come to appreciate our club atmosphere, which is an expression of the character of the music. Many visitors have become regulars, who come not just to hear good music but to socialise with friends and acquaintances over a glass of wine or beer.
